Jordan Son of Mars,The Spike Lee-influenced Air Jordan hybrids strike again, with the new Jordan Son of Mars, named for Spikes Mars Blackmon character. Seen here in a black leather (with nubuck and patent) look with contrasting red and plenty of elephant print, the shoe is clearly a part of the Spizike family, borrowing elements from the Air Jordan 3 (elephant print, mudguard), Air Jordan 5 (midsole, tongue), Air Jordan 6 (pull-tab, collar-pad) and Air Jordan XX (lasered midfoot strap). Not coincidentally, Spike Lee appeared in commercials for each of those Air Jordans.
